Western Cape College
Western Cape College acknowledges the traditional owners of the land which our campuses are located on, and pays respect to elders past and present.
Welcome to Western Cape College, a P-12 state educational facility that strives to be recognised, and respected locally, and state wide, as a school of choice for Cape York students, with a focus on personal excellence for all students. The Western Cape College is a unique state school which comprises four campuses each set in its own amazing cultural, social and geographical environment, spread over a vast area of the Cape York Peninsula in Far North Queensland.
Each of our campus locations, Aurukun, Mapoon, and Weipa are unique with different challenges. Western Cape College faces these challenges head on, determined to foster educational excellence.
We are a college that believes that education is a positive partnership between the home, school, and the wider community, and that the stronger the relationship the more likely that our students will succeed, as the foundation of a supportive learning environment is provided. We greatly value parent and community involvement as fully as time and commitments allow. We look forward to working with you and our students.
