Council Annual Controlled Burning

Mapoon Rangers Community Notice - Rangers have been conducting Controlled Burns through the Day and are managing burns. Annual Controlled burning will continue over the coming months. Please be aware of smoke hazards for the duration of Burns, Rangers have placed smoke hazard signs near burning sites. A part of this process, clearing of fire breaks will be conducted alongside controlled burns. Please note the Dozer is in use around the Mapoon Township and Shire, staying in safe distance from machines. Mapoon Council wishes to ensure Community the burns are safe and managed.
